I am a retired school teacher, most of the 34 years being spent in Special Education. Since my retirement in 2003 I have worked on an organic mixed farm. Hobbies include beekeeping, cycling and sport in general. I have been able to go to Mpongwe on six occasions. Each visit has lasted 3 weeks and along with colleagues have been involved in a number of practical projects on the mission site. Most of the work has taken place in the hospital where we have upgraded many of the hospital departments including the kitchen, laundry,post natal and childrens’ wards. Toilets and shower facilities have been improved in each of the wards
