For the past few weeks we’ve been raising money to assist with the Mpongwe mission hospital in handling the pandemic. Thanks to everyone who has given, we’ve managed to raise over £4000 towards the hospital’s covid response. Below is a picture of the first oxygen concentrator being unboxed by one of the nurses at the hospital. It is now fully operational and working well.
Currently the hospital has not got many covid patients, but with vaccination levels quite low they are preparing for another wave as the rainy season approaches. We are ready to buy additional equipment and supplies for the hospital but are just waiting to hear on the ground exactly what the next requirements will be.
